Qualification:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or formal qualification in business management, leadership or other relevant discipline
Work experience:
- 5 years or more with experience in complex project delivery roles in rolling stock repair and maintenance particularly in Locomotives.
- Knowledge and understanding of best practice asset management including ISO55000 and extensive demonstrated knowledge of best practice project management systems and methodologies including ISO9001.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and present complex data in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
Specific Job Responsibility
- Managing rolling stock assets, including shunt locomotives, freight and specialist wagons and other rolling stock vehicles and equipment;
- Managing delivery of rolling stock projects, including ownership of scope, budget, variations and day-to-day management of progress;
- Governance and quality assurance of projects in line with the Project Management;
- Collation and reporting of cost data for projects;
- Provide advice on engineering solutions for projects, where required;
- Managing interface between delivery teams and suppliers (e.g. contracts);
- Champion the principles of High Performance, High Engagement (HPHE) in all workforce interactions;
- Governance and reporting of project spend vs. budget.
